Hem: Great Sofa by Philippe Malouin

With the Great Sofa, Hem presents a fresh interpretation of modular seating, developed in collaboration with British-Canadian designer Philippe Malouin. After three years of intensive development, the Great Sofa combines precise design with maximum comfort - a true reflection of Hem’s commitment to durable, thoughtful furniture.

At the heart of the design is the idea of relaxed living: instead of traditional rigidity, the Great Sofa impresses with its soft, inviting silhouette and a unique “hoodie” detail - a loosely draped upholstery that gives the sofa a casual, lived-in character and allows the fabric to develop a natural patina over time.

Maximum comfort is ensured through Kvadrat upholstery laminated onto foam, combined with a smart, elastic assembly system using Velcro fastenings. Ergonomically designed, the sofa provides excellent support and is built for extended lounging. Complementary cushions in two sizes are also available.

The Great Sofa blends functionality with subtle elegance, adapting effortlessly to a variety of living spaces. With this new launch, Hem continues its mission to create furniture that unites design, comfort, and everyday usability in a contemporary way.
