Foscarini: HOBA by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba
The new 'HOBA' lighting family is inspired by a meteorite falling to earth. It combines handmade imperfection with industrial production. Designed for Foscarini by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
The lighting family 'HOBA' by Foscarini, designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, is made of opaque, mouth-blown glass with rustic charm. Inspired by meteorites striking the earth, they embody perfect imperfection and are named after the Hoba meteorite, the heaviest ever to land on earth.
The irregular shape of 'HOBA' combines industrial production with artisanal qualities. This anti-geometry makes the glass appear crumpled, as if by an invisible hand.
The development of 'HOBA' is based on intensive research in the field of mouth-blown glass, allowing Foscarini to create decorative lamps with personality. Each lamp is individually sculpted to give it the unique feel of a handmade object, while remaining affordable.
'HOBA' emits a warm light and is ideal for illuminating different spaces. With a glass surface that changes depending on the viewing angle, they offer versatile aesthetic adaptability. The luminaires are available in various sizes and configurations, including pendant, table, wall and ceiling.
