Sebastian Herkner's new 'Iris' table lamp – one of his first two products for blomus – tells the story of this German designer’s endless fascination with glass as both material and phenomenon.

Born of two decades of mastery, Herkner’s 'Iris' lamp with its perfectly rounded glass bubble shade reflects light in a uniquely captivating way, now transparent, now opaque, to delicately balance fragility with strength. Trapped within the glass globe are intricate air bubbles evoking the feeling of submerged exploration; the ascending oxygen seems to mirror the rise of inspiration itself.

The luminous bubble rests on an aluminum base; choose from dark gunmetal or classic stainless steel. The lamp is cordless and comes with a practical charging deck.
