“We have a great urge to experiment,” says Yael Mer. She and Shay Alkalay founded the studio “Raw Edges” back in 2007 and have been coming up with unusual approaches in design ever since.

During imm Cologne, the Museum für Angewandte Kunst opened a special kind of exhibition: “Isn’t it romantic? – Contemporary Design Balancing between Poetry and Provocation”. An homage to the longing for a world that isn’t always perfect.

This fall, the presentation at Paris’ “Maison&Objet” focused on accessories of every shape and kind. Dominating themes in the trade fair halls of the “Parc des Expositions” included wood, porcelain and clever combinations of different styles.
