Let’s print a pizza!

Pasta from a printer and banana skins that are decorated by laser are intended to expand our culinary world. Is that what we want? Or are we just doing it because it’s possible? A conglomeration of useless things.

Based on the spirtual quintessence of the twelve-sided dodecahedron, the designer created The Quin.MGX ceiling light so that the viewer's eye is led into the sculpture along many swooping paths, leading from triangles to pentagons and back again. The lamp
light also follows these paths. But what is most beautiful about the Quin.MGX is the anti-light, the way the surfaces shadow each other, creating a continuum of differently shaded areas casting smooth gradations of light in a spherical matrix that is punc
tuated by small pure beams.
