System 180 develops plans and produces customized solutions for architecture and furnishings. Founded by architect, designer and exhibition builder Prof. Jürg Steiner in the early 1980s, System 180 now represents modular furniture and constructive building solutions "made in Berlin". The core is the construction system of stainless steel tubes that gave it its name, combining universal function, classic design and high-quality processing.
A team of architects, designers and engineers puts together a high-performance profile under a single roof together with the in-house metal and wood processing departments. Thought-out products for office and at home environments together with an all-round service range that goes from customized product and project development to production and assembly on site, form the pillars of the offer. High quality claims, exclusive production in Berlin and responsibility towards employees and the environment characterises the corporate philosophy.
System 180 opens up near-unlimited options to implement individual furnishing solutions and architectural structures. Spectacular projects have been built in the last few years, such as the 400 meters long temporary façade for the Berlin-Tempelhof airport, or a floating UFO in the German Museum in Munich. For design competence and product quality, System 180 has received many awards – most recently the Focus Open in silver, a red dot design award and several iF Design Awards.
