Felt manufacture Hey-Sign was founded in 1999. In the few years since its incorporation it has developed into an internationally-operating company that successfully sells its exclusive felt products to consumers in Germany, Portugal, Finland, Norway, Japan, the US and many other countries.

Hey-Sign's products are hand-made in Germany. Today the collection comprises over 250 different pieces. Besides a variety of cushions and table covers, carpets and carpet tiles, the current programme for the home also features fashionable accessories such as bags, notebooks and Christmas decorations which are available in 37 colours. Each product embodies a clear design, high functionality and usability as well as ecological responsibility. Hey-Sign's felt is made of 100% pure wool and impresses with its unique characteristics: felt is a sustainable raw material which is permeable to air, gentle on the skin, flexible, an excellent insulator and – through its natural fat content – stain-resistant.

Bernadette Ehmanns's clear lines along with her bright colours and timeless design turn each Hey-Sign piece into a real winner. Hey-Sign's products – including some award-winning ones – have received critical acclaim at exhibitions such as the Tendence Lifestyle and Ambiente in Frankfurt, imm cologne and the International Furniture Fair Cologne.

Both the carpet tile "Square" (designed by Mathias Hey) as well as the carpet system "Zipp" (designed by Ralf Bertram ID) received a special award at "Innovationspreis Architektur und Boden der AIT" in 2004 and 2006 respectively. Further award-winning products at the Tendence exhibition include the bag "Rolling Bag" and the cushion "Kissengeflecht".
