GKD - Gebr. Kufferath AG is one of the leading technical weaving mills in the world. Founded in 1925, the company has systematically developed from being a supplier of standard woven wire cloth towards supplying mesh types woven of metals and plastics for technically demanding applications. We have reached our present size and importance not only by the use of modern technologies, but also by individual solutions to solve our customers' problems and conscious innovation to meet the demands ouf our clients. It is the common goal of all 500 employees of our company to achieve identifiable benefits for our customers by means of technical, economical and organizational performance. In order to accomplish this, we maintain national and international business relations. Since we strive for close contact in cooperation with our customers, we founded subsidiaries in the US, Great Britain, Spain, Dubai and China and are represented by agencies worldwide. The procurement of our raw materials and outsourced parts is subject to the same demands and is international to the same degree. In order to attain an improved organizational structure and a clear definition of our customers' requirements, we have initiated a quality management system according to DIN ISO 9001, which was certified by DQS in April 1996 for the first time. GKD understands its role as an innovative problem solver. The range of our applications includes very finely woven mesh for the filtration industry, process conveyor belting for the food industry and decorative and functional applications with our metalfabrics for architecture. We aim at setting new standards together with our customers and endeavour to make the largest contribution possible in making this world cleaner, safer, more beautiful and ultimately more worth living in.
