Philosophy

Design that sits well

COR Sitzmöbel stands for interior design culture, aesthetic appeal and excellent seating comfort. The premium brand has been owner managed since it was established in 1954. It manufactures excellent quality seating and upholstered furniture for international markets at its production facility in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. The classic sofa Conseta is the company’s most famous product. It has been in the COR product portfolio since 1964. All the people who contribute to shaping the brand are passionate about incorporating values and quality in contemporary design without being inhibited by fashions and trends. Immaculate workmanship and excellent quality of material are the hallmarks of COR furniture.

COR has already received more than 60 corporate and product awards, including the German Design Award, the Iconic Award and the Federal Republic of Germany’s Design Prize for its outstanding design and business performance.

Today all of the upholstered furniture products have the Blue Angel eco-label seal of approval and the Greenguard Gold certificate. The company operates according to lean factory principles, has around 234 employees and trains young talents itself. The site has been climate-neutral through offsetting since 2020.

Brand house

The world's largest brand exhibition is located on 3,000 square metres of designed presentation space in the COR Haus immediately adjacent to the production site in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. The current ranges of seating and upholstered furniture as well as a wide variety of fabric and leather collections are on display here, complemented by a generous specialist exhibition for furnishing in the contract sector. The historical COR Collection is also presented on a further exhibition space - as an informative journey through time, following a successful product and brand history spanning more than 70 years.
