The "Costume" sofa designed by Stefan Diez for Magis was honoured with the prestigious ADI Compasso d'Oro for its pioneering design.

In the hills behind Florence, La Marzocco, a company known for its coffee machines, runs the Accademia del Caffè Espresso, a cultural center housed in a former production plant. Interior designer Stefano Zagni found suitable furniture for the fit-out when viewing Magis’ diverse collections.

This year designers Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso presented their latest product for Magis: The "Trave" chair. In this interview they tell us why for them good design is essentially about balance, time, and, paring things back.

Magis celebrates its 45th anniversary this year and looks back on an eventful success story that began in 1976 when Eugenio Perazza founded the company.

In the form of “Costume” for Magis, Stefan Diez has designed a durable sofa that is straightforward to repair and flexible in use.

"What if we completely rethought the sofa?" – this question brought Magis together with Stefan Diez for a joint experiment: a flexible system made from recycled and recyclable materials.

Eugenio Perazza, the founder of the Italian furniture manufacturer Magis, is honoured for his life's work with the ADI Compasso D'Oro Liftetime Achievement Award 2020.

"Bell Chair" is the name of the new, sustainable and affordable chair by Konstantin Grcic for Magis, which sets an end to the negative image of the classic monobloc chair.

Magis creates elegant monoversions in black and white of the classic "Mariolina" by Enzo Mari.
