Lema reconfirms the collaboration with Francesco Rota who, following his work on the theme of containment, creates Cases introducing a new concept for a versatile and multi-functional cupboard.
Ideally placed alongside a wall as well as in a room’s center, Cases has a rigorous volume, yet characterized by a light allure thanks to the play of solids and voids given by different thicknesses and heights that create the three-dimensional aspect of the object, determining its airy appearance.
A heat-treated oak frame, available in the two sizes 243xh.69cm and 183xh.97cm, stands on metal legs in a titanium color, inspired by the style of the 60s. Within itself, it houses four container elements, each with its own specific function: sideboard, chest of drawers, display cabinet and cocktail cabinet that enrich and personalize the cupboard creating 5 possible compositions for Cases.
The doors reduced in thickness, embellished by the fine detail of the hinges left visible as small buttons, can enclose, depending on the chosen version, glass shelves, wooden drawers of different heights or bottle rack compartments. In the pursuit of maximum customization, a module of the cupboard can be left empty or can host a precious glass cube; if turned upside down it becomes a close display case, where one can expose and protect the most special items. The cupboard top is presented, by choice, in back painted glass, marble or leather. In addition, for the cocktail cabinet module the top is also available in refined clear glass that reveals and enhances its content.
