The collaboration between LAUFEN and the best experts of design, architecture and art has given rise over the years to collections and projects with the most diverse expressive languages, showing the eclectic soul of the Swiss brand.
The spirit that characterizes these collaborations is the desire to experiment and research new living solutions that are in step with the times.
NM3, the design studio founded by Delfino Sisto Legnani, Francesco Zorzi and Nicolò Ornaghi, and LAUFEN have joined forces to create a line of furnishings that become part of our daily lives. A purist concept underpins the collection, in which the products, made through simple metal carpentry processes, are cut, bent, shaped and screwed together through the use of a single material, stainless steel, giving life to objects with a unique design.
It is the first time that LAUFEN has experimented with the use of steel in the bathroom and the aesthetic result is decidedly surprising: furnishing elements reduced to a minimum, which welcome the ceramic and take on a sculptural, almost abstract presence. The collection offers a high degree of customization thanks to the possibility to choose between the different countertop washbasins of the LAUFEN collections.
LAUFENXNM3 consists of vanity units and furnishing accessories, such as trolleys, stools/small tables, mirrors and accessories characterized by a very high attention to detail and finishes and designed to offer maximum functionality.
The collaboration with NM3 has allowed LAUFEN to create a family of objects which are not limited to the bathroom alone but which, thanks to the pure design and the timeless industrial aesthetics of the steel elements, blend perfectly with the environment and the surrounding architecture, offering unlimited compositional freedom. The extraordinary quality of this material, capable of embracing and reflecting the style of the room, allows the collection to adapt to any space and any style. In fact, stainless steel, with its ultra-modern character, has a kaleidoscopic effect, reflecting textures, decorations and styles and always suggesting new settings.
LAUFEN has decided to portray the collection inside four very elegant Milanese entryways of the 20th century, where the architects of the time experimented with extremely precious materials mixing furniture, architecture and art.
The steel pieces by the NM3 studio stand out in these luxurious spaces and seem suspended between polychrome marbles, ceramics that create unusual textures, handrails with complex and refined lines, doors and windows made with precious materials as if they were theatrical backdrops.
Inside these microcosms, the furnishings and accessories of the collection dialogue with the travertine of the sculptural Casa della Fontana, play with the marble floor arranged in a degradé pattern of the palazzo in Piazza 6 Febbraio.
In via Canova, in the elegant entrance characterized by Rosa Portogallo marble, Carrara marble sculptures and crystal chandeliers, LAUFEN has recreated a perfect neoclassical setting.
LAUFENXNM3 once again confirms the multifaceted and innovative nature of the Swiss brand which, through collaborations with stimulating partners, continues to experiment towards new expressive forms of living.
