With its High Performance Textiles, Kvadrat is introducing a new product category: Metallised roller blind textiles that insulate and cool, provide shade and are see-through.
Untitled_AB5 has a quiet typographic presence and embodies subtle horizontal and vertical movement. The contrasting graphic forms of the design – a downscaled rendering of the Untitled_AB1 design – play with multidi- mensionality and motion.
The double layers of Untitled_AB5 unite one darker layer of shiny monofil, and one layer of light matt spun yarn. Consequently, the curtain changes identity as the conditions change throughout the day. When the light is strong, the design is watermark-like and almost vanishes. Inversely, its graphic expression and delicate shade contrasts become increasingly outspoken as it gets darker.
