The new OPALE series by KRION™ comes from the convergence of light andmovement. Coloured surfaces featuring irregular patterns traced throughout thebody by gleaming, brilliant and profound veining that is reminiscent of flowingwater. The result is unique and balanced textured sheets in shades of white, green, blue and grey that evoke the calm serenity of the ocean.
The OPALE series can also be backlit, whereby the material allows a degreeof light to filter through, illuminating the texture and revealing new, previouslyhidden lines and shapes. The characteristic birefringent veining has become thehallmark of this series, enabling us to admire the intense, contrasting patternsthat are in line with the latest decorative trends. The various finishes that can beapplied to this material allow for a vitreous lustre or matt effect in a declarationof strength and inspiration that lends an air of luxury and exclusivity to KRION™.
It is a material that is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. It is made of two-thirds natural minerals (ATH – aluminiumtrihydride) and a low percentage of high-resistance resins. This composition gives KRION™ a number of exclusivefeatures: nil porosity, it is anti-bacterial without any type of additive, it is hard-wearing, highly resistant and easy to repair, only requires minimum maintenance and is easy to clean.
Treated in a similar way to wood, it can be cut, joined, and thermoformed to make curved pieces. It can even be cast during the production process to produce distinctive designs and projects impossible to obtain with other materials.
We can create designs with no joins which prevent the spread of bacteria and make cleaning and maintenance easier. We offer a wide range of colours, including a white finish that stands out for its purity and neutrality in comparison with other similar materials. It is an ecological material, as it is 100% recyclable. All products made of KRION™ can be reprocessed and reused in the production cycle.
