Børge Mogensen wasn’t interested in sculptural shapes and experiments. He preferred historical furniture types that he then tweaked for the better. A very readable monograph presents the Danish designer.

ponoq designed by Nils Gulin in 2009 and 2010, is a range of coat hangers for wall-mounted or freestanding applications, with or without umbrella stands, and tables of varying heights with or without integral stools. ponoq is manufactured in a special compact laminate to provide a highly durable surface that is ideal in environments that are subjected to a lot of hard wear and tear.
ponoq stool is 470 mm high and comes in single, two-seat or three-seat models, or in combination with a table 400, 460, 530, 620 or 720 cm high that shares the same base-plate. The stool can be upholstered with a fabric-covered cushion or with a sitting surface in white or black compact laminate. ponoq pedestal table comes in heights of 400, 460, 530, 620, 720, 900 and 1050 mm, with rectangular or round tabletops in a wide choice of sizes. The tables are available in individual or twin models with a shared base-plate, and in table and stool combinations. Both tables and stools have a tabletop/base-plate in white or black compact laminate, and supporting pedestals in white or black lacquered metal. The base-plate can be secured to the floor using a concealed fitting. ponoq pedestal table and stool are ideal for a brief breakout to work on a laptop, and in waiting rooms, corridors, schools, museums, art galleries, outdoor locations, or wherever furniture needs to cope with a lot of hard wear and tear.
