The "AT" series by Wilkhahn is the company’s third office chair program with the pioneering "free-to-move" mechanism. Precisely calibrated to match the human body, the three-dimensional flexible structure helps keep limbs and muscles active. The "free-to-move" concept was developed in close collaboration with Professor Ingo Froböse and the German Sport University Cologne. In doing so Wilkhahn is acting on the outcome of numerous scientific studies which support the insight that movement during work has a sustained, positive impact on health, wellbeing and performance. In the "AT" office chair line, 3D-mobility is coupled with automatic weight adjustment: Only the desired seat height needs to be set manually in your "AT" chair; otherwise the chair adjusts completely autonomously. And the AT series is characterized by an enormous diversity in terms of models, features and design.
Now a further model has been added to the range – "AT Mesh" with a backrest made of polyester mesh. This particular feature not only lends the chair a certain visual transparency but also ensures a perfect fit for every sitter as the material molds to match the individual’s back. Moreover, the mesh allows constant ventilation for the back which is especially important during hot weather for work both from home or in the office. The addition of the "AT Mesh" model has made the "AT" office chair range even more diverse, and the spectrum of models now includes a suitable version for practically every situation. Incidentally, like its siblings "AT Mesh" is also available with an elevated sitting position (ESP version). With continuously adjustable seat heights from 42 to over 60 centimeters, switching between sitting and standing is intuitively integrated into the work process.
Further to note, the AT is not only practical but also environmentally friendly: AT and AT Mesh have both received the German Blauer Engel seal of ecofriendliness. In the AT Mesh model 80 percent of the mesh used in the backrest stems from recycled PET-bottles.
