Orgatec, the world's leading trade fair for office and contract furnishing and equipment, will be held in Cologne, Germany from 25 to 29 October 2022. The Swedish Kinnarps Group, one of the largest suppliers of furnishing solutions in Europe, will present various office concepts at the trade fair. The company will be represented at Orgatec through its six brands, highlighting the theme of "Moving Workplaces Forward". This looks at changing work patterns and increasingly hybrid forms of work that place new demands on the workplace. In this context, Kinnarps is looking at what can be done to make offices more attractive, sustainable and value-creating environments. For example, a workplace where people feel comfortable and have a chance to develop themselves will reduce employee turnover while making it easier to attract new talent. To this end, Kinnarps will present five guidelines at Orgatec and offer specific analyses and consulting services in order to help organisations create successful working environments.
And for the first time at Orgatec, Kinnarps will also present its "Circles of Change," concept for a sustainable circular economy, which aims to extend the life of furniture and furnishing concepts. One example of this is the modular "Oas sofa" series designed by Fredrik Mattson for the Kinnarps brand Materia, which uses a moulded foam produced from biomass. This makes it possible to both reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and lower the carbon footprint. At the same time, "Oas" is a flexible furniture system, as the seating modules can be configured to create a seating landscape of any length. Added to this are small swivelling tables for a laptop and wide armrests into which a tabletop, power/USB connection or plant container can be integrated. Even partitions and a lockable "Oas" cabinet module for personal belongings can be added, making the sofa series a perfect example of the variety of possibilities the new working world has to offer.
