Our reeditions are a way of not forgetting, recovering and updating our heritage. This one also wants to shed light on a little known pioneer of Spanish design: Joaquim Belsa, founder of Aresta. He was one of the first to notice the potential of rattan as a valid material for modern design. He would use canes of different width and a single stroke method to create his objects. By reediting his Bench 202 we pay tribute to Belsa’s figure and innovative approach to rattan. Upholstered bench with structure made of peeled and tinted natural rattan of 32 mm/1.26” diameter. Options for the seat: manufactured in peeled and tinted natural rattan of 9 mm/0.35” diameter or upholstered seat. Possibility of customization through a wide variety of fabrics. Finished with a three step water-based coating (dye, base coat and top coat) highly resistant to solar radiation thanks to UV filters. Protective caps.
