This table, like much of architects Caruso St John's work, refers to a familiar type. Table looks like a table; it is rectilinear, has a functioning surface, four legs and is made of wood. And yet Table is subtly different, using its chosen materials to a
dd detail and features. Spruce lumber triboard, an engineered timber product used for construction site hoardings, was the unusual material chosen. The muteness of the joints make the tables look abstract and also create a feature of the graphic wood. The
spruce lumber triboard is an everyday material that is strong, stable, referential yet unfamiliar within the context of furniture design. Two sizes of Table are available with either linoleum or Corian® surface options.
