Stefan Radinger

For Stefan Radinger, the vision he obtains from his interdisciplinary approach is very important. Inspired by bionic principles and based on a graphical approach, his designs have clear structures and are stripped down to the bare essentials. He is particularly interested in wood for its tangible living and breathing qualities, which provide an exciting contrast to the puristic form. He also finds the use of this traditional and longlasting material in the digital age rather fascinating. Sustainability and design have been recurring themes in Stefan Radinger‘s life. Born in 1986 in the Lower Austrian town of Krems on the Danube, he first completed his environmental and economic studies before moving on to study sustainable product development at the New Design University in St. Pölten. Specialising further, he concluded his education and training by studying Industrial Design Scionic at the University of Art and Design in Linz, spending part of his time at the Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou in southern China. It was during his studies that Radinger refined his feel for shapes and materials by working for Bene AG and for renowned design agency Formquadrat in Linz, where he managed industrial design projects for a wide range of different companies. Stefan Radinger has been designing for TEAM 7 since August 2012, creating furniture, products and graphic designs.
