Minke van Voorthuizen (1965) studied painting and sculpturing at the Minerva School of Arts at Groningen and product design at the School of Arts at Arnhem, the Netherlands. She designs furniture, lamps and accessories for international manufacturers and

also teaches at various institutes. Her work is typical of Dutch design: transparent, characterised by simplicity.
