Biography
Graduate in Fine Arts in 1995 by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, in 1996 he moved to Milan, where he studied the Master of Design and Design Management at the Domus Academy. In 2004 he earned his PhD in Fine Arts, in the field of design. From 1997 to 2000, he lectured at the Superior School of Design of the Cardenal Herrera Oria – CEU San Pablo University, in Valencia. He has worked both as graphic and industrial designer in cooperation with different companies and public institutions generating corporate identity manuals and communication strategies.
Since 1995, he has been a researcher within the IGD (Group of Research and Design Management of the Polytechnic University of Valencia). From this platform he works shoulder to shoulder with companies belonging to the furniture sector, producing product portfolios and devising communication strategies.
Between 1998 and 1999, he worked as a researcher and industrial designer for the Fujitsu Design Laboratory in Kawasaki (Japan), conceptualising and designing electronic consumer goods and mobile phones. As a researcher, he works in several projects regarding the conceptualisation of new electronic consumer goods and the analysis of lifestyles and societal trends.
In 2000 he joined the Polytechnic University of Valencia as a teacher in the Drawing Department. At the present moment, he combines teaching with the research on subjects such as culture and history of design and aspects related to design management and communication within business environments.
