James Wines

James Wines, winner of the National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2013, is the president and founder of SITE, the group working on architecture, environmental art and design created in 1970 in New York. He has designed over 150 buildings in 11 states, and has received 25 important art and design awards. His work focuses on the fusion of art, architecture and landscape in the surrounding context. A professor of architecture at Penn State University, he continues to write and to lecture on an international level about integrative thinking and environmental themes.
