Studio García Cumini Associati was opened in 2012 in Udine (Italy) by Vicente García Jiménez and Cinzia Cumini, as a combination of two consolidated experiences in the field of design, products and communication. It is a multidisciplinary team, which can range from the design of various types of items to the design of artistic installations, in order to present products and companies, artistic management and graphic design for coordinated image and communication projects.
Enchantment, feeling and the ability to make people fall in love with an item or a company, materialising an intuition or a poetic thought… These, along with functionality and quality, are inseparable aspects of all the activities of Studio García Cumini Associati, with the aim of making each individual design, space and experience unique, whether it refers to a product, a fitting, a catalogue or a brand.
Based on this philosophy, two cultures are shared, Italian and Spanish, where creativity, beauty and joy for life are fundamental values. They apply a typically Mediterranean way of tackling the work of being a designer across the board, always with an attentive eye towards the world of new technologies, artistic expression and society and market trends.
Studio García Cumini Associati is a young company but was born with a wide professional stock of partnerships with companies in various industries, such as Cesar Cucine, Fambuena, Foscarini, Future Concept Lab, JTI / Japan Tobacco International, Karboxx, Lunardelli, Mido, Pallucco Italia, Sofia Doors and Tacchini.
Vicente Garcìa Jiménez graduated in Technical Engineering specialising in Industrial Design at the Faculty of Experimental Sciences of Castellon de la Plana and launched his first lighting and furnishing product development business in Barcelona. Subsequent professional experiences led him to Milan and Udine, where he opened his own studio in 2005. He has taken part in numerous expositions in Europe, China and Japan and has won important awards: XXII Compasso D’Oro-Mention of Honour, Elle Decor Designer of the Year (Spanish edition) 2011, ADI Design Index 2010 (Infinity project selection), Elle Decor Young Talent Designer (Spanish edition) 2009, Designer’s Saturday 2008 (Best Space Design).
Cinzia Cumini graduated in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage specialising in the Social/Philosophical area at the University of Udine, with a dissertation on the importance of industrial design in contemporary society. She then worked on the selection of products and suppliers on the international design scene, with a special focus on emerging companies. Her work often takes her to the main international trade fairs and to deal directly with important themes such as the layout of points of sale and the relationship between the product and consumers.
