Biography
Christoph Boeninger, born 1957 in Duesseldorf, Germany, studied Industrial Design in Munich and Los Angeles, his diploma was a designstudy of the world’s first labtop computer, which today is exhibited at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. After his degree, he worked in Munich and in 1987 he went to New York to start a designgroup for Siemens USA. After his return in 1990, he held various jobs at Siemens. In 2006 he founded the design office brains4design in Munich. Christoph Boeninger designs furniture, which have been selected into the permanent collections of various international Design Museums, such as the „Soester Stool“, made entirely of Aluminium or the SAX table for ClassiCon. He lectures at various universities and serves as advisor to the newly founded Zollverein School of Management and Design in Essen, Germany.
