Christina Fürst, born in 1950, trained at the University College of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm, Capellagården (The Swedish School of Craft & Design) and the Nyckelviksskolan Arts, Crafts & Design School. She works across a broad spectrum of furniture and textile design, interior design and corporate identity projects. Her furniture designs invariably derive from a strong underlying idea: "I want the furniture I design to be like people, individuals who exert an effect on our lives, personalities with integrity and a clear character. Functional form, attention to detail and quality are all important aspects in my work."
