Anthony Dickens was born in Dorset in 1975. He studied Furniture and Related Product Design at Buckinghamshire and Chilterns University College, graduating in 1997.
At New Designers '97, his ‘Senecio' light won the Purves and Purves Award for Product Design.
In 1998 he was part of the British Council's Mo-Billy exhibition in Milan, exhibiting alongside Tom Dixon. This week also heralded the start of a partnership with JAM Design and Communications, where he was commissioned to work on clients including Audi and Vodafone.
Anthony set up his own studio in 1998, working with clients who were keen to use innovative product design to promote their brands, such as Red Bull and Veuve Clicquot.
He now focuses exclusively on domestic product and furniture design. He launched the award-winning Origami table range with Heals last year. His "Fifty" lights launched with Anglepoise this September, with additional products under development and due for release next year.
