Essential lines, careful workmanship and stylish details are the elements of high design content of the new Shadow table by De Padova, designed by Vincent Van Duysen.
The designer's minimal spirit is reflected in the formal lightness of the table, a pe
rfect fit in the De Padova collection, both for residential contexts and the workplace.
The system of tables includes rectangular and square models. The structure in steel is covered with wood, in the oak finish, or layered HPL, like the top; the detai
ls of the legs can be lacquered in a range of different tones. Vincent Van Duysen describes the table he has designed for De Padova: "SHADOW is designed as a basic table. The aesthetic is pure and light. At first glance the form is archetypal, yet sophist
icated. Fine detailing in the edges and the use of two tones give the table a slim look, though it remains very stable. SHADOW is a visually attractive piece of furniture due to a subtle optical effect. The table reveals itself in different ways from diff
erent viewpoints. It plays between the visible and invisible through the subtle use of color and depth."
