Swivel is a suspending light sculpture that takes shape through the rotation of its components that naturally opens up on the basis of a combination of weights and shapes. It is a choreographic and enchanting chandelier, which is sculptural and subtle at
the same time. It “receives” and “reflects” life depending on what occurs. It enhances the environment and interacts with it, creating a visual background that blends physical boundaries together according to the diverse points of observation. It interce
pts, breaks down and reflects back flashes of real happenings and interactions. The light emitted by a non linear plafond placed on top of a fragmented surface is defined by dark optics that monitor the luminous spread that strikes the reflecting surfaces
and diffuses light and dynamic reflections in the room. Swivel is striking and thrilling because it gives life to new relationships between people and surroundings. It is simple to manufacture and eco-friendly. The modules, of different sizes, joined by
cylindrical turned steel joints that allow 360° vertical axis rotation, are proportionally cut triangles that ensure stability and equilibrium to the overall structure. Swivel is basically made of only one material. It is light and compact and therefore
easy to stock and transport. The choice of fluorescent sources makes it an element that is not only scenographic but very efficient in terms of luminance as well.
