Shadotex is a fixed or controllable external textile solar shading system that may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. It consists of a fabric stretched between two sides of a louvre support frame which can create attractive diffused light within the building, as well as provide effective solar shading.
-A wide range of louvres: Shadotex louvres are available in various colours and fabrics to meet specific design requirements. Depending on the chosen type of material, light and radiation transmission can be accurately achieved for every specific application.
-Wide spans, lowered costs: This type of product is extremely lightweight which allows large spans to be constructed without the need for additional supporting framework.
-Flexible controls: Shadotex shading systems are operated by linear actuators that have the capability to operate complete facades. A series of louvres are attached to a system of levers and push rods which link them to a control system. The louvres may be fixed at any angle and can rotate under motorised control within a range of up to 110⁰.
-Robust: Shadotex is made from high quality textile material within an aluminium and stainless steel carrier system. Shadotex can be given additional strength by coating the fabric in a special resin which dries hard. The system is designed to compensate for thermal expansion.
-Design service: Colt provides a pre-order design service. Please contact Colt for more information relating to the application, specification, installation or servicing of Shadotex systems.
