Ritmo

The RITMO rug design depicts an intricate, graphic pattern that is reminiscent of woven ikat. Pencil lines drawn on paper were the inspiration for the design. RITMO results in a distorted circle as a result of the warping of the tufted weft. The circles, which appear to be drifting away from one another, reveal a luminescent, almost glowing e ect on the dark background. The material mix of silky linen in the circles and sober-looking lines of merino wool on the rest of the rug result in shimmering and matt areas in a brilliant contrast.
