This elegant faux plain harks back to the early 20th century, when
the proponents of Art Deco reduced the floral and organic patterns
of Art Nouveau to graphic linear forms. BELLE ÉPOQUE adopts the
core creative concept of a fan, letting the pattern repeat act as a
simple contrast in the weave throughout the fabric. The hand-drawn
design, although inherently elegant, appears light, lively and modern.
The jacquard fabric uses a fine, PES filament warp and cotton in the
weft, complemented by fine stainless steel, giving the surface of the
fabric a subtly iridescent three-dimensional character that changes
every time light hits it. The mechanical Airo treatment, which uses
no chemical and is environmentally friendly, gives the fabric a soft,
voluminous feel.
