Product description
The design of this blackout fabric was inspired by the artist Gerhard Richter. The flow of the pattern repeat across the fabric is reminiscent of a landscape photographed from the window of a moving train. The individual visual elements are accordingly blurred horizontally to form a linear pattern. After weaving, ATELIER is coated with three layers of acrylic – white, black and then white again – in order to give the material its blackout properties. Finally, the design is printed via inkjet and fixed onto the coated product. ATELIER is manufactured in Italy. This printing process can also be applied to client-specific designs, which Christian Fischbacher offers on roll lengths of 120 m. or more.
