The end of the traditional light bulb clobbered the luminaire industry, which is slowly recovering. At the Euroluce in Milan the clear trend was an effort to harmonize design and technology again.

The reinterpretation of a classic in the Baccarat catalog gives birth to these 4 vases which incorporate contemporary material used by designers today (see the Mahua Huni candleholder by Ingrid Gossner or O'valeo tray by William Sawaya). Today's creations are based on Baccarat's living patrimony : The green insert recreates the ouraline color, obtained from uranium oxide. This color was very fashionable during the second half of the 19th century and is still very appreciated by expert collectors.
