Under the name of Haute Couture Architects Paper will be launching their first textile collection at the start of the new year. This high sewing makes reference in its name not only to the special bespoke creations of the international fashion world, but also to its design standards. Stylish and exclusive textile wall coverings will give any room warmth of colour, distinguished designs and an incomparably soft feel. In every aspect of these creations we sense the true quality of an international approach. This goes for the composition of colours in the traditional object colours, such as blossom white, vanilla, pearl grey, scarlet, macadamia, cappuccino and mocha, as well as for the classic design creations using decorative and floral patterns. All of these combine well with a stripe or a stylish plain design. But Haute Couture exudes charisma in the private domain as well. "Design is a very trendy subject, and will continue to be so. Not just on the catwalks, but in interior design too, we see the power of the pattern being used to created a pleasant atmosphere and highlight it by picking out individual features," says object designer Jens Dieber. The original patterns were inspired by designers from Paris, London and Milan - true Haute Couture indeed! The base material is provided by traditional, high-quality warp yarns laminated onto a good wallpaper backing of proven quality. The various designs are produced by a modified textile printing machine which was originally designed to print fabrics. The process uses water-based colours together with a dyed expandable material which gives the wall coverings additional depth and structure. The installation, which is over 50 m long, was converted a few years ago at the plant in Gummersbach.
