Enveloping, suggestive, warm and at the same time technological; Nuez is born from the idea of creating a modulating seat as if it were
a sheet of paper. Nuez’s shell – made from injected thermoplastic – is expressed as a flexible surface that embraces the body when
seated and whose shape presents the same folders in the corners as a folded sheet of paper, conveying softness and materiality.
Nuez offers a double texture: that of the shell – formed by three-dimensional undulations that give it movement – and that of the
upholstery, which also involves complex and studied manufacturing, an authentic innovation. The development of Nuez presented the
challenge of making two materials as diverse as thermoplastic and fabric establish a harmonious and rich dialogue.
The different bases versions – four wooden legs, aluminum star, five casters or cantilever – the range of ten distinct colors for the shell
and numerous upholstery options for the seat and backrest, make Nuez a tremendously versatile seat, capable of integrating into any
type of corporate environment such as waiting or meetings rooms, work areas, and also at home.
Upholstery is another key aspect of its design. Therefore, Nuez offers different options for the shell interior – fully upholstered, upholstered seat and padded seat and backrest -. In addition, as well as its undulating exterior texture, a unique fabric has been developed for the collection, created by Patricia Urquiola, and characterized by its bands, running the length of the seat, following the lines of the shell.
