The firm and renowned local designer Andreu Carulla share an appreciation for the formalist architecture of Sert, Coderch, Miralles, and Bofill in addition to their Mediterranean character. Using very simple materials, these Barcelona architects, deeply influenced by their time and the Mediterranean lifestyle, achieved powerful architectural gestures where beauty was always accompanied by functionality and simplicity. Roca's new collection thus finds inspiration in some of the architectural features of its hometown, Barcelona, which houses some of these architects' most iconic buildings.
