Fredrik Torsteinsen and Solveig Torsteinsen both graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Oslo with master’s degrees in the field of furniture design. After working separately for several years, we joined forces in 1997 and established our

own firm, Torsteinsen Design AS. Our work ranges from industrial furniture design to design of spaces – for the most part exhibits, fair stands, and showrooms. Our designs have been exhibited extensively both at home and abroad, and we have been honored

with numerable awards and prizes. The uncompromising basis for our work is the synthesis of aesthetics, ergonomics, and innovative techniques. Our method is a strong belief in the value of communication to assure correlation between vision, process, and

tangible result.
