Martina Carpelan
Helsingfors, Finnland

Martina was born in 1979 in Vasa on the west coast of Finland.

Her own studio, founded in 2009, focuses mainly on product design but also on interior design, graphic work and unconventional concept generation.

Having lived, worked and studied in Vasa, London, Oslo and now Helsinki Martina holds an international approach to design and life in general.

Her goal as a designer is to bring function, esthetics and timelessness together. Martina's great interest in observing the everyday, her surroundings and behaviour of people inspires her and gives her work an identity and a reason to be.

Martina dreams about qualitative rather than quantitative consumption and the open sea.
