Giovanni Barbato

Giovanni Barbato was born in Padua in 1974.

He graduated from the University of Architecture in Venice and then attended a course in Industrial Design in Padua.

It was the passion for glass that led him to study at the Abate Zanetti school di Murano where he established friendships and collaborations with the glass factories. At a very early age, he started to design and sign projects for many companies in Murano Island, becoming one of the leading designers in lighting.

In 2012, he has been cooperating with some of the main companies in the lighting industry, also designing the Spiry collection for Axo Light.
