Hollywood Chandelier Glass

In the sheltered heart of a tree, when the cold freezes the time into winter stillness, fresh raindrops transform into drops of icy glass. Visions of light and dark arise, creating a play of warm emotions: a field of precious memories frozen into sparkling icicles.

Covering all branches, the HOLLYWOOD ICICLES is dressed in crystal clear glass. With this collection William Brand sculpts a different - and possibly more powerful - light.

The original Hollywood collection, born after a family trip to Africa, was inspired on the majestic forces of nature experienced on this journey. The slenderness of the branches of the trees seen there, are now combined with another powerful phenomenon of nature; the formation of icicles.

The HOLLYWOOD ICICLES can be ordered as a conical or oval chandelier, as well as a round or conical ceiling chandelier. The icicles are made of handblown clear glass, wearing the essential characteristics of hard pure ice. The collection is available in the finishes white and nickel. Since every item is entirely crafted by hand, there is also the possibility for a unique translation of the HOLLYWOOD ICICLES. In the last years, we created several tailor-made designs in different shapes and sizes, with finishes ranging from black high gloss, red high gloss, bronze and a special developed golden finish by vacuum metallisation.

William Brands comments on his work: I received a request from a Swiss client, who was constructing a chalet for his family high up the mountains. He told me this would be used for his skiing holidays, inspiring me to work on developing our own icicles: which we create by blowing and pulling the glass simultaneously.
