Anyone wandering through the very well attended Hall 3.2 at the imm cologne at the moment will encounter quite extraordinary staged features at every turn: There’s a chairoplane turning at the center of the hall, as if propelled invisibly (Lorenz*Kaz for Zeitraum). And a towering turret of painted cardboard chairs (Christoph Göttel for pulpo). And the complex installation made of pipes (Front for Axor/Hansgrohe). And the furniture floating across several levels (Studio Hannes Wettstein for Horgenglarus). Not to forget the sculpture consisting of a deconstructed Richard Neutra chair dancing a tango (Rolf Lieberknecht for VS).
In fact, there are a total of 14 platforms scattered round the hall; on each a special staged item is displayed. The fruit of 14 designers’ labor for 14 different manufacturers. Whisking the viewer away for a moment from the trade-fair hustle-and-bustle, giving you food for thought, or simply making you laugh. The concept was developed by Stylepark in cooperation with imm cologne – and visitors and exhibitors alike are more than taken with it.
